About Ott-Erik

I am 23 years old man from Estonia. All my life, I have been surrounded by sports. For instance, I used to play football for 4 years and after that, I swam for 8 years. I belonged in the Estonia National Youth swim team in 2008-2010. I used to play rugby and I was an Estonian team member and won the championship title with my team in 2012. After that, I have been focused on powerlifting. All these sports required strength training, which also reflected my big passion for sports science.
I have graduated from Bachelor of Arts in Sport at the University of Tartu. My bachelor thesis was „Impact of training and nutrition on muscle protein synthesis“. The committee and the reviewer graded my work with the highest possible grade. In the future, I am eager to research more about the relationship between resistance training and muscle protein synthesis and hope to publish dissertations to journals and conferences.
My main speciality was Strength Sports which gave me a good background to continue my career as a coach. Also, I did my own research and learned more about how to write training programmes/periodization plans and how the monitoring athletes progress works. I feel that detailed and science-based written training programmes are one of the most important factors for an athlete’s success.
Considering my personality, I am a responsible and hard-working person. Working as a coach, I am responsible for my students or clients well-being and their success in sports. The same principle applies to the thing I love, which is studying sports science. I also get on with people well, because I am cheerful and energetic. Many people have said, that they feel very comfortable and energetic around me. I believe that is very important when I work or study with different people. Additionally, I am an enthusiastic person, who loves to learn new things in the field of sports and gain new experiences in life.

I offer my clients online training diary (I am using the Google Sheet platform), where they can log in and fill in their progress and activities for me to analyze and monitor the training. After that, I give the clients more detailed instructions and nutrition or training plans (training programme/nutrition diary example:
