About Pierre
As a fourth-year medical student at Cambridge, surrounded by some of the best teachers in the world, I find inspiration everywhere. The love for science and passion for education here is truly contagious. My goal is to pass on this appreciation for the natural sciences to future students and show them just how achievable their goals in STEM can be with the right support.
I have had the privilege of tutoring a wide range of students, from those preparing for GCSEs and A levels, to medical school applicants and English language learners. Additionally, I was given the exciting opportunity to organise several STEM workshops for children from Hong Kong over the past two summers. This project brought children and their families to the University of Cambridge for a week, allowing them to study science in some of the best facilities in the world.
Teaching, to me, is the best way to grow as a member of the lifelong learning community, and I am excited at the prospect of helping more students reach their academic potential.

It's well known that everyone learns differently, which is why I always strive to personalize my tutoring sessions as much as possible. My approach is guided by a simple philosophy: learning should always be active. I encourage students to draw colorful diagrams, present information, and solve related puzzles as often as they can. This active, engaged process has two essential benefits.
Firstly, it helps students build a solid foundation with no gaps in knowledge; any gaps are quickly identified and addressed through games and problem-solving exercises. Secondly, active learning directly builds confidence through hands-on experience, which is invaluable for tackling exam questions and applying scientific reasoning in real-world contexts.
Overall, by promoting a thorough and inquisitive attitude toward the fascinating pursuit of STEM, my primary goal is to shape my students into engaged, independent learners.
