My teaching method usually involves setting a set of very relevant exercises and then working through the questions related to them. I think the best way to learn the theory is by practising and at the same time my previous experience showed me that everything should be explained thoroughly.
My teaching method is very thorough and includes going over topics until my students understand the subject inside out rather than superficially. This makes their performance in exams and tests far higher and improves their confidence in school. I like to find out more about each student and how they enjoy learning, adapting my techniques to fit how their brain works.
Before lessons begin I ask for your exam board so that I can prepare material based on the most recent specification. Lessons occur topic by topic so that there is an easy to follow structure to lessons. Initially, we run through the material and identify areas of strength and weakness.
My classes are based on the individual students needs regarding concept specific work or exam technique improvement, and backed up with past exam question practise.
I approach each topic in a broad but thorough manner. I try to give examples and practices as much as I can and as much as I think the students will need. My classes are based on understanding the content first and then practice until mistakes cannot be made.
I believe in lots of practice, and explaining things from the fundamentals, so that my students can have a thorough understanding of the concept. No question is a silly question. I am a very easy-going person and so the lessons should not be stressful. I want you to enjoy learning.
I think it is very important to form a good relationship with my students, regardless of the level at which they are being taught. I am a very social and sporty person, and so I know how different a lesson can feel when being delivered in a more friendly and comfortable environment - I also have the skills to ensure the lesson is very productive and useful despite this.
My approach to teaching is using the Montessori method. I enjoy working with groups of multiage children.
My teaching method is to go over as many practice questions in order to gain practice and use those to go over background material to aid understanding
Emphasis on exam style questions and understanding key concepts. Ironing key areas of weakness. Adapting to the student style of learning.
I will base on the weakest topic for individual student first and work on questions then move on to the stronger topics.
Hey. I'm a researcher at the chemistry department in Cambridge University, who enjoys teaching and currently teaches undergraduate students at Cambridge in chemistry. I'm keen to pass on some of my knowledge in chemistry and biochemistry to those outside the Cambridge system, either in secondary school or at undergraduate level.
I'm a first year biomedical science student, and have been a nanny. I completed A levels in Chemistry, Biology and Psychology and did my AS in business studies.
My most successful students have found my concept-based approach helpful. Often, the most challenging areas of GCSE/A-Level courses require a more descriptive and intuitive approach, rather than brute text-book learning. I plan lessons around class work my students are undertaking, to best compliment their learning.
My teaching method is specific to the preference of the individual I am dealing with, I understand that everyone is unique and I am willing to adapt to the different individuals.
I am an accomplished, bilingual English & Spanish Chemical Engineer with years of career experience in the petrochemical, oil and gas industries, as well as scientific environment. Teaching methodology will be set up according to the student needs. Many tutoring options available.
My teaching method is to focus on true understanding of concepts rather than rote memorisation, so will introduce new topics and guide students through a few examples, getting them to talk through each step and eventually to explain the concept to me themselves.
I can either offer systematic topic of topic going through GCSE, A-level or undergrad chemistry course. Or alternatively, I can help you to condense materials and to understand chemistry concepts for exams. Either way, I work more as a coach that tailor suit your learning style.
Totally up to you! Tell me your learning preference and I’ll try my best to tailor it to your liking.
In my studies at school I have gained a good understanding of the types of lessons that pupils find engaging and productive, which I aim to give. My typical lesson would comprise of a short introduction to the topic followed by exploring several worked examples until a complete understanding of the topic has been reached.
I have a strong background in maths and in science, so I aim to help students understand material from first principles through intuitive explanations, the rationale being that if you can use these principles to work out answers, then you don't have to remember as much or learn by rote.
My teaching method is very simple. I try to teach the basics then build up on it so the student understands the foundations and can tackle any situations.
What's my tutoring approach? This depends on what is troubling you. -(Knowledge) If there are gaps in your knowledge, then we can review whole topics thoroughly. If there's a concept that you don't understand, then we'll strip it down to the exact mechanism that's causing you the headache and together, we'll think of an analogy to help you get your head around it.
I mostly teach science at a secondary school level (KS3, GCSE, A-level). Making my lessons interactive is something I strive for, because I know full well that you can't learn anything from being talked at.
I am looking for students in secondary school who need a bit of extra explanation so that they can grasp topics which they find complicated. I know that sometimes it is difficult for teachers to provide every student with the attention and time they need to feel comfortable and confident with their knowledge of a topic.
My teaching techniques are through brainstorming and also I focus on each individual's learning style because every person has different learning styles. Besides Business Management, I have studied psychology as well and I have psychometric approach in teaching. I give lessons to every age group.
I am aiming at thorough understanding if time and your goals permit. Ideally one's preparation and questions are needed, but can lead a more traditional tutorials as well. I always hope to solve problems and learn from mistakes. I believe that in depth questioning and facing problems lead to real understanding.
I am a first year medic wanting to teach students at IGCSE or A levels. My approach is to explain the concepts firstly using diagrams and then a good collection of past paper questions so that it is less abstract and easy to apply.
I generally prefer 1:1 or small groups, as this allows me to ascertain the level and needs of an individual student. I want to discuss with the pupil what their goal is and we will make the best strategy to achieve this. We will go through the subject, building a firm foundation, and developing your knowledge so you can understand the more difficult tasks.
I believe that A levels should be about more than just learning facts, and make an effort to ensure that the student understands the context to the material they're learning. This understanding is backed up with extensive practice of past exam questions, with detailed feedback to make sure that they're 100% comfortable with the topic, and won't be in for a shock when it comes to exam time.
