I work in an interactive way, « organic » I could say, letting you practicing. I want you to feel very soon confident enough to dare creating by yourself when cooking. A question of feeling is cooking. It will seem to you easier and easier and you will be ready to cook for the pleasure of your guests. My way is simple : we decide what to cook together. We make sure you have got the food we need and I show you the basics. Now it is your turn. I’ll make sure you’ve learned so as to be able to create at this stage already.

I am a French native speaker. I have learned by myself several languages.
I first worked in the tv production and then as a Breton teacher for more than 10 years.
I have been working as an independent filmmaker since 2014. As a freelance, I keep for myself some time to share my skills, learn more and experience other spheres of activity.
As a teenager, I used to cook for my parents as they would work hard and long hours during the week. My background enables me to teach people who want to gain skills in cooking fresh food, using easy technics and enjoying the pleasure of creating meals for themselves and for the others. Some of my relatives worked as cooks or ran french restaurants, but I learned mainly from my mother and her mother, my grand-mother, and by myself too. I gained experience in cooking dishes from abroad as I travelled quite a lot and was trained recently on making « crêpes » from around the world. If your are happy to bake bread, I can also show you an easy and short way. I am happy to teach you to make breton buckwheat « galettes » too or « kig-ha-fars », a traditional breton dish.
If you meet up as a group, special rates are to be considered of course.

- 2 years of cinema studies in Paris (Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français)
- Teacher of Breton (college/lycée in Vannes/Gwened) for more than 10 years

- Independent filmmaker since 2014 (in French, English and Breton)
- I lived for one year in Bristol and for 6 months in New-Zeland
- I travelled a lot in Eurpoe and Asia
- I like monoskiing, mountain biking, runing, reading, watching films or going to the cinema.
- I am very keen on teaching and learning many subjects : on top of teaching Breton to my students, I have trained language teachers to gain skills so as to be able to run film projets in the classroom.
- I attended in 2018 a professional training on cooking crêpes from around the world at the Cooking School of Vannes/Gwened in Brittany/Breizh (École Hôtelière de Vannes)
I've known Eric for over 25 years; he's my brother in law. Eric is a passionate person who puts everything he's got in a project, whatever the project. He likes to understand the world surrounding him and thus, will not stop learning until he is satisfied with answers and explanations, the nature / matter of things. To me, that's a great quality as he explains clearly why this, why that, and makes things easier to understand. He transmits his passion naturally.

Eric Gudenkauf is an energetic and understanding person, with very good teaching skills and above all, he loves what he does which makes him the perfect teacher. I'm the president of a Summer School (Kamp Etreketiek Ar Vrezhonegerion, KEAV) which offers a complete tuition in Breton (an immersive course). Every year, since 1948, KEAV) organizes among other activities, a two weeks course. Eric has been one of the teachers we had in our team. We appreciated his knowledge of the Breton language and his professionalism of course, (he is a teacher of great experience) but also his capacity of establishing a good contact with us and with his students. As a breton language native speaker and tutor I was really impressed by Eric Gudenkauf's ability to learn the celtic language of Brittany which he speaks very well in its standart form as well as with a local accent (South East). He rapidly got chosen by the National Education to be a teacher and he uses the breton language as a professional tool to make films (documentaries) ordered by the Breton Channel (F3 Bretagne).
