About Marlyse
I am a qualified primary teacher (PGCE) and a native French speaker, currently based in East London. I bring both strong academic training and authentic language experience to my teaching.
I take a professional, organised and patient approach to every lesson, ensuring that each student feels supported and able to make clear progress. My background in primary education allows me to adapt my teaching to suit different learning styles, while maintaining structure, consistency and high expectations.
I have experience working with primary-aged children and understand the importance of building confidence alongside strong academic foundations. I create a calm, positive and respectful learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing at their own pace.

I am a native French speaker with a PGCE in Primary Education, offering engaging and effective lessons in French and KS1 & KS2 Maths.
My teaching approach is supportive, structured and tailored to each child’s individual needs. I focus on building confidence as well as strong academic foundations, helping students feel comfortable and motivated in every lesson.
For French, I help students develop accurate pronunciation, reading skills and speaking confidence through interactive activities, games and real-life conversation. As a native speaker, I provide authentic language exposure, helping children learn naturally and effectively.
For Maths, I follow the national curriculum and break down concepts into clear, manageable steps. I use visual methods and practical examples to ensure full understanding, while also developing problem-solving and reasoning skills.
Lessons typically last 45–60 minutes and include a recap, new learning, and practice to reinforce progress.
My lessons are ideal for primary school students (KS1 & KS2), whether they need extra support, are beginners in French, or want to build confidence and achieve higher results.
