About Summer
I am a friendly and reliable university dentistry student who naturally connects with kids, a skill I’ve honed over a lifetime of being a big sister to multiple younger siblings. Having worked for three years as a full-time online English tutor, I want to teach because I love watching young learners transition from feeling stuck to feeling genuinely capable and proud of their achievements. My goal is to use my patient, encouraging energy to make literacy exciting and to give grades 2 to 6 students the strong foundational confidence they need to excel in school.

In my lessons, I create a fun, patient, and highly interactive online environment where your child can truly thrive. We always begin with an engaging five-minute literacy game to spark their interest and review past concepts, ensuring they feel confident right from the start. From there, I break down tricky spelling rules and reading comprehension passages into simple, bite-sized steps that prevent them from feeling overwhelmed. Using my natural "big brother" energy, we work through examples together collaboratively before I guide them toward independent tasks that prove they have mastered the material. Every session is designed to keep primary school kids focused, smiling, and genuinely excited about improving their English skills.
