I teach up to A-Level standard essay subjects, including History, English and RS, but am happy to take on GCSE pupils too. I can provide online resources, and teach you how to study SMART rather than hard! All tuition is personally tailored to the individual, which is why my first lesson is free - to help me understand your style and method of learning. My method of instruction is to secure a depth of understanding in my students; you cannot ever hope to blindly memorise something you haven't got your head wrapped around! There are plenty of ways to absorb the most knowledge for exams or tests without liquidising an entire textbook, and I can help you do it in a way that won't seem so mentally taxing.
Having only finished my A-Level's a year ago I still have all my notes and a deep understanding of the subject I am going on to uni to study, and remember what it's like to get stuck!
I studied English Literature, Modern History and Religious Studies at A-Level, and am going on to study Philosophy at Durham University in October - I also achieved 3 A*s in these subjects, so I know my stuff.
Rates are standardised across different levels of teaching, but I do require a £2 transport fee if you live more than 5 miles away from where I am based. Cancellation must be communicated 24 hours before the lesson is due to begin, and if this is not specified before this time then I require a £5 cancellation fee for inconvenience, pre-organised transport costs etc.
Attended Channing School [2004-2014] & Haileybury & Imperial Service College [2014-2018]
Achieved 6 A*s, 4 As & 1 C at GCSE level. The A*s were in English, English Literature, History, RS, Biology & French, the As were Physics, Maths, Chemistry and Art. The C was in Drama.
At A-Level I became a College Prefect and helped to tutor lots of kids in Sixth Form and at GCSE level alike and helped many students manage their revision and understand subjects that teachers couldn't quite help them get their heads around.
I achieved 3A*s in Modern History, Religious Studies and English Literature.
I have a place at University College in Durham University to study Philosophy, which I will be taking up in October.
