About Angeline
I am a full-time tutor of 8 years’ experience, specialising in mathematics [primary, 11+, GCSE and A-level]. I have a BSc(1st Hons) in Pure Mathematics [QMUL] and an MSc(distinction) in Philosophy [LSE]. I have tutored numerous students in mathematics at primary, secondary and sixth-form level—to whom I have taught the subject and provided learning support and help preparing for 11+, SATs, GCSE and A-level exams. For the 11+, my tutoring experience includes the entrance exams of most independent schools in London and the grammar schools in North London. Quite a few of my students prove to be far, far better at maths than they initially suppose; in my experience, even supposed maths dunces can turn out to be quite gifted. Mathematics is logical and conceptual—teaching that presents it as such not only seems quite effective but renders its deeply humanist nature and values. Tutorial teaching is personal and intersubjective—as such, it is most compatible with mathematics, and there is no question of not adapting to a student’s individual learning psychology. As a private tutor I have the privilege of providing, for each student, anything within my gift that may serve their education—and rarely hesitate to use it. University : - Queen Mary, University of London - BSc (Hons) Pure Mathematics [First] - London School of Economics & Political Science - MSc Philosophy [distinction] Prizes and Scholarships : Lois Hatton Prize (BSc first year) Summer 1993 Leverhulme Prize (BSc second year) Summer 1994 Westfield Trust Prize (BSc final year) Summer 1995 IMA Prize (BSc final year) Summer 1995 (all undergraduate prizes for academic excellence in mathematics)

I have known Angeline well since 2012, when she chose to make maths tutoring her career. I was then a careers advisor at the LSE, where Angeline completed her masters. I can give Angeline the highest recommendation possible to students of all ages and abilities. You could not find a tutor who would pay more attention to your particular needs and goals as a student or one better equipped with knowledge and experience to help you reach your potential.
