I am a genetic engineering PhD student based in Cardiff available to teach molecular biology up to university level, biology from A-level and below, and any physical science from GCSE and below.

Methodology

My teaching method will depend mostly on the age of the student(s).

I tend to try and focus on developing an understanding of the topic through rational thinking rather than fact recall, often through analogies for younger students, as this worked for me.

I am more than happy to trial different things with students to find a tailored learning approach that works on an individual level.

Learning should be applied in various scenarios, and I will always try to include a real life scenario showing how everything being learnt is useful, whether directly or through principle.
