About Navpreet
Hi! My name is Navpreet and I’m studying Biological Sciences at university. I spend my days analysing cells and gathering data, so creativity is like my exhale from the day. I have a myriad of creative hobbies such as creative writing and composing, and I believe that carving out time to play is essential for our wellbeing. That’s what I want my lessons to feel like: a safe space to fill your own cup, express yourself and connect deeper with yourself. We all have an inner creative genius looming within—sometimes all it takes is the gentle scratch of a pen on paper or the soft tap of keys. I also bring my experience with mindfulness, somatic practices, and spiritual approaches into lessons, helping create a gentle, supportive space where writing becomes a form of self-expression, exploration, and even healing. Lessons are a structured yet playful co-creation with the student. There’s no level to attain and no progress reports—just an opportunity to explore emotions and creativity. In creative writing, we’ll play with prompts, storytelling, poetry, and free-writing exercises designed to help you express yourself and tap into your imagination. These sessions are about self-expression, emotional regulation, and discovering joy in creating. You’ll hopefully leave each lesson feeling lighter, more connected to yourself, and inspired to keep exploring your creativity. I’ve been writing creatively for over a decade, poetry for 6 years, and my own fantasy novel has been my companion for the past 7 months across multiple drafts. Writing is my catharsis, my playground, and I’d love to help you discover yours. I also bring mindfulness, somatic practices, and a touch of spiritual awareness into our sessions, creating a gentle, nurturing space where words become more than stories—they become a way to connect with your emotions, your intuition, and your deepest self. In our one-hour online sessions, we can wander through your characters, map your worlds, experiment with prompts, or simply let words flow where they want to go. This is a space without judgement, without deadlines—just the freedom to explore your imagination and connect with your own creative rhythm. Whether you’re building a novel, crafting poetry, or sketching fantastical realms, we’ll share ideas, nerd out over details, and embrace the joy of writing as a journey rather than a task. I began piano lessons with Navpreet a few months ago and it’s been such a refreshing experience to log on after work and play piano. I always find myself looking forward to our lessons, especially as she creates such a safe and calm space. She notices when I’m struggling to focus and adapts the exercise in creative ways which makes things more engaging and doable. Highly recommended.
