I have always been deeply passionate about English language and literature, I'm sure I could read before I could walk! I obviously have my favourites, but I will read and analyse every and any book put in front of me. I have written more short stories than I've had hot meals, and am currently working on my debut novel (among several other pet projects).
MY teaching method is to get to know my pupils to understand which method is best suited to them. I like to build a rapport with pupils and make lessons interesting whilst also concentrating on content. I like lessons to be structured but with an informal nature.
Although I have never personally taught a class, I have been tutoring my siblings for years and have always kept a calm and approachable manner, I believe it is important to show the student that they are not wrong, but need direction and a different approach to looking at things in order to help them make sense of the situation.
I've been tutoring for years and am well qualified and equipped to tutor anything from reading and writing improvement to CV assistance. I am based in Cardiff however am more than happy to tutor remotely and cater to the needs of whomever I'm tutoring.
I approach my teaching according to each student's needs and set out a plan for what they hope to achieve. From becoming more confident in reading and writing skills to approaching critical theories and applying them to text. I can also help to develop individual thought and how to express it in an academic style.
Hi, i'm a 19 year old student studying Law at Cardiff University. I tutor lessons for those studying English GCSE and above. I aim to make my lessons exciting and engaging as I feel this is the most efficient way to learn. We will work our way through the exam specifications, focusing on areas of weakness in order to achieve your potential. Also happy to tutor first year law students.
I am a recent graduate, studying a Masters in English and Creative Writing. Nominated top ten poet of 2012, I am also able to tutor poetry and any other form of written expression, including academic essays. Lesson structure is adapted to student, but to inspire creativity and passion within the literary area. Lessons can be tailored to suit students of all ages and abilities.
Hi! I am a Cardiff University student studying Philosophy, an avid writer and active contributor to the University newspaper. Having obtained straight A to A* grades as GCSE, I aim to help pupils reach their goals by creating the kind of friendly, encouraging and supportive setting that was key to my learning during GCSEs.
My lesson plans are always interactive and fun. I like to use visual aids where appropriate, and create a safe, non-judgemental environment where creativity can flourish. My aims are to teach the necessary knowledge and skills, but also to work on self confidence and presentation.
I adapt my approach to the individual student so work on a case by case basis, using factors such as how the student learns and their personality, as well as addressing what stage they are at (GCSE, A level) in order to tailor my technique and method.
Teaching is individual so I prefer to work one-to-one or in small groups. In this scenario I can meet the learners' needs. If you understand through lecturing - I will lecture, if you understand and grasp that concept better through images - I will have PowerPoints and visuals - I've even been known to use a puppet! Students determine how I teach and whatever it takes, I will do it.

I adapt my lessons/ sessions to the individual. I like making things fun and easy to understand, especially if a pupil is uncertain on a subject/ topic. I'm very welcoming, and always am open to suggestions. I'm able to help with GCSE's and A-Level, but can do any educational level if needed.
I am a young, English teacher trainee with experience of teaching Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 to students aged between 11-18. I am able to give one-to-one tutoring to students who require extra support with basic literacy, and in preparation for GCSE English Language and Literature examinations.
The foundation of my teaching method is based upon expanding on the student's preliminary ideas about a certain piece of prose/ poem/ title/ question (usually from past paper questions). I spend the first 10-15 minutes guiding my students to develop a concrete sense of their own ideas.
My teaching method is fairly relaxed - our first intro session will comprise of a short assessment so I can get a sense of where the student is, and then a casual chat to establish what the student's own aims are. From there I'll establish a flexible tutoring plan that can be deviated from if the student feels like there are areas that need specific attention (e. g.
My approach is friendly and helpful, with a focus on bringing out the creativity and thought processes needed to excel at English Literature. Mind maps set the ideas flowing, and once a pupil is fluent in their thinking, I will ensure that they become fluent in their writing too.
My teaching method is to read/focus on any texts/aspects of English a student may be having issues with and give feedback on how they may improve. Having studied English for four years at a higher level I understand the demands of the subject and what teachers are looking for at every level of education.
I am a College student offering GCSE/Secondary Level English Tutoring In Clevedon. I was a A/B Level standard at GCSE and am an A grade English Literature A-Level student. I would use multiple resources, activities and tests to get your child through their exams or to improve their grades and would use the methods they find the best in order to help them.
Within English, I always try to be as creative as possible in order to make studying as interesting and memorable as possible. I always ask the student what syllabus/specification they are studying at school to ensure that I am able to find appropriate resources and information.
I find the most important part of a lesson is having a structure or plan initially. This includes a variety of different activities to facilitate one topic to see which level of learning engages with a particular individual, e.g. independent work, assistance, prompts, games, visual stimuli.
Specialising in English and Sports Science I believe everybody learns differently so the key for any tutoring for me is finding what resonates with the pupil and how they best retain information. Once learning goals are agreed the I will build a learning structure around your curriculum and your areas of greatest need.
