About Jack
My name is Jack Huntsman and I am a German and International Business dual major at the University of Arkansas.
My passion for the language came from my high school teacher and the opportunities he gave me to further my knowledge and experience the language completely. This passion has grown since being at the UofA and the professors here have been nothing but an amazing help for furthering my knowledge.
I had the privilege to receive a scholarship from AATG my junior year of high school to study abroad in Hamburg and Leipzig. Alongside this, I was able to teach German to a neighboring middle school for periods of time over two semesters. During this time, I hosted a student from München and was able to help him learn English with my German abilities and share/compare our cultures.
In my free time, I enjoy playing piano, golfing, reading, and hanging out with my friends. Academics have always been of utmost importance to me, and I love being able to teach those that can utilize my academic success.

Learning a language is all about consistency. Repetition creates memorization. When I taught middle school students German, the most important thing I learned was creating relationships between English and German; both languages share roots in their origin.
My focus will begin with the basics of grammar: word order, how nouns/verbs/adverbs/everything else functions, punctuation, and everything that will make your German cohesive and coherent.
I will formulate a basic quiz to gauge where your knowledge stands, and we will then go back and target the areas where improvement can be made.
These lessons are for students below a B2 Goethe level, or an Advanced I university level.
