About Finn
As a Saxophone tutor with 9+ years of experience, I have taught nearly 150 students from beginner to advanced levels. I am passionate about helping students develop both technical skills and a genuine appreciation for music.
My tutoring method is structured yet flexible. I adapt my lessons based on individual learning styles and goals while maintaining a clear progression plan. I believe regular practice, motivation, and positive feedback are essential for musical success.
I place strong emphasis on saxophone fundamentals, including breath control, embouchure strength, tone production, finger accuracy, and rhythm. Advanced students receive guidance in musical interpretation, improvisation, and performance techniques.
Along with saxophone instruction, I teach music theory, sight-reading, and listening skills. My aim is to help students grow into confident musicians who enjoy playing and learning music.

My teaching methodology for Saxophone is structured, practical, and student-focused, built on Communication, Accountability, and Integrity. I begin by assessing the student’s level and understanding their musical interests. I focus strongly on fundamentals such as correct posture, breath control, embouchure development, tone clarity, and fingering techniques.
I explain every concept clearly and demonstrate step-by-step so students feel confident while practicing. I give weekly structured exercises including scales, rhythm drills, and short performance pieces.
Accountability helps students stay disciplined and consistent in their practice routine. I regularly review progress and give honest, constructive feedback. Integrity means I guide students patiently and correct mistakes early to build strong technique.
Along with Saxophone, I also teach Music Theory, Sight Reading, Ear Training, Jazz basics, and Improvisation skills to develop complete musicianship.
