About Lauren
A little bit about me, I am working to be an education major at the College of Wooster, a small liberal arts college in Ohio. Some of the things I enjoy are being outside, sewing, and I live on a cattle farm so hanging out with the cows. I am extremely passionate about helping children get through school and building confidence as they do it. I strive to not only help them get through the hard classes but also recognize their strengths. I believe that with a little push and some motivation a student can accomplish any class including the hard ones.

My teaching methods really depend on the type of person I'm teaching. for example, if a student enjoys moving around, we will do activities that can allow them to move while they still learn. I really pride myself on fitting the lesson to the students' needs. I teach mainly reading and writing skills in elementary to middle school. My first lesson with the student will be getting to know them and doing simple reading and writing exercises. This way I can get to know them and where they are at with their learning. from there I will formulate a lesson plan that will best suit their needs.
