About Amelia
Hey there! I am a recent college graduate with a bachelor's degree in microbiology and cell science, minoring in communication studies, from the University of Florida. I will be attending the University of South Florida in fall to obtain my masters in medical sciences. I am hoping to matriculate into medical school by 2020, and then become a pediatrician.
I would be happy to help with whatever academic needs you have! I have always excelled academically, so the subjects I can tutor you on is diverse. I am especially proficient in essay writing, math (algebra, pre-cal, calc 1), and the sciences (bio, chem, physics, organic chemistry). I can also help with GRE preparation.
I understand how it feels to struggle through a subject, so I am very patient and understanding. I will not judge you for not understanding something, I will explain it to you until you do get it.

My teaching methodology is based on thorough explanations of topics by myself and devotion of time to practice by the student. For example, I may prepare worksheets for a session. Some to be completed together at the session, accompanied by explanations, and some to take home and complete later independently.
I base my tutoring sessions on the content that is relevant to your specific class, school, or program. Testing often follows the format and information within the book it is based on. That means using resources provided by the student, in addition to outside resources that I have found personally helpful.
