I've been playing guitar for 12 years and have been teaching it to people of all ages for over a year now. I'm trying to get a band together at the minute so teaching guitar helps me to stay sharp with all my techniques before putting them into practice.

Teachings vary depending on the clients skill level but assuming a complete beginners standard I would tend to take them through the most important chords at first befor moving on to some of the more advanced stuff like scales, barchords, fingerpicking etc..
