About Shekera
I've had a passion for math for as long as I can remember. My journey in tutoring began in high school, and I've been fortunate enough to guide students through their math challenges right through to university. I currently work in a field that keeps me engaged with math daily, which constantly fuels my love for the subject.
Beyond numbers, I'm an avid fan of puzzles, sports, and solving mysteries in crime-solving and medical TV shows. I believe that learning should be as engaging and fun as these hobbies, and I strive to make every tutoring session just as exciting and rewarding.

I have been deeply involved in the world of math education for several years, beginning as a high school tutor and continuing through university. My journey has provided me with a wealth of experience in guiding students through the complexities of mathematics, from foundational concepts to advanced theories. I hold a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Actuarial Science, a discipline that demands a high level of mathematical proficiency. My education has equipped me with a strong foundation in calculus, probability, statistics, financial mathematics, and more. I believe that learning can be fun and efficient and that plays a major role in my teaching methods. I employ a student-focused approach, tailoring my methods to each learner's unique needs and learning style. I believe in breaking down complex problems into manageable steps, using real-world examples to illustrate abstract concepts. Whenever I think the concept has been grasped I generate creative games to check the student’s understanding. I also integrate technology and interactive tools into my lessons to create a dynamic learning environment.
