My passion for English is not only infectious, but my teaching style is designed to challenge students' critical thinking. Students need to have different skills based on their exams and goals: developing an awareness of mark schemes and what the examiner wants, how to adapt their writing style and tone to different audiences, or how to retain their true beliefs while writing to persuade.
My students deserve to feel empowered and in control of their learning. How scholars see a text is deeply personal, and I aim to encourage their emerging style, while keeping in mind their learning goals.
