About Willow
I am a recent graduate of Amherst College who double-majored in English and sociology. I wrote an honors thesis on mixed-race American literature, and I graduated with highest honors (summa cum laude) and distinction for my academic performance. During my time at Amherst, I served as the Managing Opinion Editor for the student newspaper, The Amherst Student, where I also contributed numerous articles. My creative and scholarly writing have received multiple prizes.

I carefully review my students' writing and examine sentence structure, vocabulary/diction, grammar, etc. for clarity and cohesion to ensure excellent delivery, as well as to set students apart in a world of AI-generated content and algorithmic shallowness. I discuss all potential edits with students so my edits are not merely dictated changes, but a part of a collaborative approach to help my students' writing accomplish their desired result.
