About
I have been a teacher for over 25 years- teaching English, Algebra, writing essays, and more. I have spent many hours designing creative lessons for students so they will be engaged in the learning process. I have been a department chair, I've attended a variety of writing and reading workshops and love teaching and working with students.

I encourage and motivate students by helping them recognize their potential-
I use a creative and varied approach - I teach through examples, logic, and direct instruction. My lessons would be for elementary, middle school and high school.
If I were teaching basic reading skills I'd use a phonetic approach- ensuring the student was proficient in vowel sounds, the rules of phonics- I'd use a visualization approach to ensure comprehension skills.
For Algebra I'd teach about solving equations and move from there.- ensuring students understood what the unknown letter means and how to isolate it.
