About Alexis
I’m a Dartmouth graduate with honors in Social Science and a strong foundation in education, youth development, and curriculum design. Over the past several years, I’ve worked in both academic and nonprofit spaces — designing educational programs, tutoring students, writing my senior thesis, and conducting my sociological research. I’ve been trained in trauma-informed and inclusive teaching practices, and I take pride in creating supportive learning environments where students feel seen, capable, and motivated. I just started working as a Youth Education Specialist in New York with an emphasis in tutoring, and have a strong passion for youth empowerment and educational support. My Teaching Approach As a Dartmouth graduate trained in adaptive pedagogy and in my current job as a Tutoring and Youth Education Specialist for a non-profit, I design every lesson around the unique needs and learning style of each student.
