About Shiyeon
I am a recent graduate from Emory University with a B.A. in Public Health and a minor in Sociology. I have had tutoring experience since high school where I would tutor math and English for students ranging from elementary to high school, and have helped students with the math section of the SAT as well. I have always loved math and will ensure that our lessons together will be fun and exciting.

A typical lesson will start by refreshing on a certain skill set. After explaining it, I will have the student teach it back to me. Then, we will go through solving problems together where I will have the student talk me through their reasoning and why they taking certain steps. If a student gets stuck, I typically have them try until they need help but also ask them where they think they went wrong. I believe this approach gets the student to think in different ways and be challenged to problem solve as well! These lessons are for elementary, middle, and also high school students wanting to improve their math skills, especially to help with the SAT/ACT for college!
