About Nicole
I am very passionate about education, specifically helping students of all backgrounds to achieve their academic goals. I have been tutoring for 12+ years in the contents of mathematics and the sciences. I also obtained tutoring training and certification through the Center for Academic Success at FIU.

First of all, I make sure to assess the students' understanding of the content and their goals. Depending on their knowledge of the subject and their needs, I begin either with a content review or walk them through different problems to asses their understanding. My goal is that by the end of our session together you leave with a thorough understanding of the topics covered and that I have provide answers to all your questions. I am different from other tutors since I use a student-centered approach when teaching lessons and help you to become an independent learner. I provide you with the tools and strategies so that you can eventually succeed on your own.
I also have experience teaching students on the topics of time management and goal setting. To achieve academic success, a student must not only have a good understanding of the content, but also know how to manage and organise their time well and set realistic goals for themselves.
