About Sam
Sam is a music producer and recording artist with experience in multiple areas of the music industry.
Once a signed artist, and now a freelance producer, Sam also taught GCSE and A Level music for a time in secondary schools whilst running a successful music tuition business focussing on guitar, vocals, piano and songwriting. Former students now release music professionally and have even signed recording contracts.
For the past three years Sam has been a full time music producer and recording artist. After building his own studio in 2019, he merged with the highly successful Present Day Production (a recording, mixing, mastering studio & video suite) on the outskirts of London.
Sam is currently preparing to release his own record. He is also currently mixing and producing two high profile jazz albums and co-producing a set of 20 pieces of music for a newly signed artist.

Ideal for for musicians of all ages looking to produce their own music; I recommend hour-long sessions, but am flexible with how long.
I hold a 1st class degree from Leeds Conservatoire in Jazz & Composition and have 15 years experience in tuition, including working as a secondary school music teacher for 2 of them.
Below is a brief overview of the areas I offer tuition in:
Music Production
Using a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Logic Pro X.
The concept of production from the inception of an idea, to writing or arranging music in the right way for the style you are working in.
Recording techniques and tuition in how to successfully mix a piece of music or song for your audience.
Songwriting
Devices and concepts used by myself and other successful songwriters in all popular music and jazz styles.
How to construct meaningful chord sequences that compliment your lyrics and melody.
How to write lyrics that help your melody connect and vice versa.
As a vocalist, guitarist and pianist, I can also offer supplementary tuition in these areas. These are the three instruments most often associated with producing music for yourself, or others.
