About Olivia
Hello! Happy to see you've found my ad! Here is a bit about myself so you know what you're in for in our upcoming lessons. I have finished up my studies at Lincoln University, I completed a Bachelor of Agribusiness & Food Marketing, then a Master of Management in Agribusiness.
In my final year of high school, I was awarded academic prefect based on recognition of my academic level (writing, speech, that sort of jazz). During this final year, I ran peer-tutored sessions that allowed older students to help younger students with homework, particularly in the realm of creative and essay writing.
In my spare time I love anything outdoors - running, walking, hiking, camping, working with horses, netball - anything that counts as an excuse to explore different parts of the country!

Right, onto the actual lessons! I cater predominantly towards NCEA Level 1, 2, and 3, however, I also specialize in helping year 7-10 students build solid bases and get confident in learning and communicating. I usually have my lessons around 1 hour, but of course, I love to welcome all questions (I do not believe in "bad" questions), so lessons may fluctuate around the 1-hour mark. I like to start my lessons by getting to know you and what you like doing. As we chat, I like to observe how you communicate and ask how you like to learn best. Whether this is flashcards, past essay papers, thinking out loud, or any other way you like to learn. During our chats, I like to write down individualized notes that will help me create tailored sessions for your ability. From this, I can start making lessons for the future, and I can guarantee you will learn tons! Wherever you are heading (writing an essay piece, learning how to structure your writing, or even just getting confident in communicating), we will set achievable goals that you will reach by the end of the academic term! I absolutely love to see people succeed, and I am super excited to give you a helping hand in supporting you with your confidence and learning!
