I recently taught a lesson on persuasive writing to my english class. To engage students, I usually began with a real-world scenario and facilitated a class discussion on persuasive techniques, followedbu examples and guided student to analyze the questions. I also gives a feedback in every discussion, and thrive to develop critical thinking skills, communication abillities, writing proficiency, and confidence on my students.
My lesson plan always consist of:
1. Objective: goals of the lesson.
2. Warm-up:to increase student engagement with the class with brief activity or discussion related to the lesson.
3.Introduction: to introduce the topic/theme of the lesson, providing context.
4. Review: review last lesson material and homework.
5. Instructional Activities: learn the material, with varies activities, it even can be in a form of games and discussion.
6. Practice: provide opportunities for student output, through task and exercise.
7. Closure: Connect the lesson content to broader learning goals, or real world applications. Encourage student to refelct on their learning and ask if there any questions or concerns.
8. Homework: to provide opportunities for further exploration or practice outside the classroom.
I also am very commited to ongoing development and reflection for me as a teacher and my student skills. I'll always be up to date, seek feedback from my peer, and seek out new categories or method to enhance my practice.
I provide a diverse range of learners, including:
1. Student of all ages: From basic, young learners, to adults, I can teach phonics, how to read, and broaden your vocabulary.
2. Test preparation: Student preparing for standard english exams, such as TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge exams, SAT, ACT.
