I work at a summer camp in Bridgton, Maine, attended boarding school in Connecticut, and even have two years of teaching experience. So I understand that there is a level of professionalism required in education. While that primarily focuses on social and emotional growth, in the classroom it requires a more hands-on approach to learning to get the most out of the material.

I teach through discussion and conversation rather than memorizing dates or passages. Even in English or essay writing, there can be conversations about how or why a certain style or passage can be used. And, with reading comprehension talking about a story or novel is one of the better ways to understand the material!
