About Lana
I am passionate about writing and supporting others in their creative and academic work. I enjoy both shaping the big picture of a piece and refining its structural and stylistic details. Throughout my college career, I have worked closely with students on a range of writing projects while developing my own creative work. My approach to tutoring is collaborative and student-centered, meeting each client where they are and helping them reach their individual goals.

I work individually with clients, addressing each need personally to tailor each session to their goals. I have a wide range of experience in different literary genres with a focus on grammar, structure, and voice.
I like to begin each session with a brief 5–10 minute conversation to outline a client’s goals, concerns, and focus areas. This ensures that both the client and I can move through the session productively while prioritizing their needs. From there, we work through the material together—editing, coaching, and noting areas of strength and improvement throughout. By the end of each session, my goal is for clients to leave not only having met their immediate objectives, but also with guidance they can apply independently or in future sessions.
My lessons can be tailored to a range of academic and personal projects. However, I have advanced experience in college-level English work with a speciality in academic editing and creative writing.
