About Maureen D
I am a mother of six children. I successfully homeschooled my children. I was the owner and operator at a New York State certified licensed daycare and after school program, where I also assisted many youngsters with tutoring and homework. I worked as a tutor The Girls and Boys Club in preparation for NY Testing here in my upstate city. I’ve proctored several state test in my local School District. I have substituted and taught in several different schools of all grade levels, my favorite being elementary and high school. I am very much a teacher in every sense of the word but I don’t claim to know it all, what I don’t know I Google.

I personally think that learning should be engaging and an experience that intrigues you to want to know more. Learning should also be practical and personal and some thing that you can readily apply to your life, it should not feel unobtainable or like useless information you just read in a book.
You should be able to live what you learn!!
