About Jordan
Hello! My name is Jordan! I graduated magna cum laude with both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Biology/Pre-med, and a minor in Chemistry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Because I just finished school, I know all too well the complexities of scientific topics in college. I also understand that the way science is being taught heavily influences how a student will receive the information! That is why I believe it is important to conceptualize the basic principles of the subject being taught and to make sure it is presented in an engaging way for the student to understand. I have tutored through other platforms, but not in a professional classroom setting! However, I think my recent academic success makes me very enthusiastic to help students achieve what I have.

I work in the medical field, so my understandings of these topics are a part of my everyday life! I have previously worked in two scientific research labs, one being neurology-related and the other being genetics-related. I worked directly with model organisms applying biological science to real-life research procedures. I also worked with undergraduate students to help them with carrying out these procedures as well. I have also assisted in tutoring fellow classmates in subjects such as Epigenetics, Biochemistry, and Physiology. I really want to help the students I work within the most efficient manner. Therefore, I recommend the student send me as many resources as possible with the particular subject they need help with. I can also offer quick responses to questions that may not require an entire session so feel free to contact me!
