About Hannah
I love the humanities and have had a successful academic career studying the humanities at multiple elite institutions. I want to share my passion with others and make sure that students receive the support that they need to thrive across a range of subjects.
I know that the humanities can be tricky, and that particularly in the realms of philosophy, sociology, and feminist studies there can be many abstract and unfamiliar concepts to contend with–I've been there myself! I want to make sure that each student has the best chance of succeeding in their humanities education, and approach my teaching with patience, empathy and a strong knowledge of a wide range of topics.
I hold a BA in Philosophy and Spanish (First Class Hons) from King's College London, and a Master's Degree in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Oxford. This is an interdisciplinary degree working across departments within the Humanities and Social Sciences divisions.

I foster true understanding of philosophical and sociological concepts in my students, ensuring that they have a solid foundation to build upon. This helps to maximise knowledge retention, increase motivation, and make the rest of the learning process easier.
I know that everybody learns differently and I encourage my students to communicate openly with me and provide feedback so that together we can find the best pedagogical approach for their unique needs.
Typical lessons last for one hour and are aimed at secondary school students.
I can also provide tuition for other age groups upon request and would be happy to discuss details to see if I would be the right fit.
