About Claire
I’ve taught English in France independently, in Thailand with volunteer services, and in Malaysia as an attaché for the US embassy. In addition to tutoring, I am now working toward my PhD at the University of Pennsylvania, where I also teach and grade part time.

I have experience teaching English as a second language at all levels and have experience helping elevate students native speakers to the levels required for university or graduate work. Classes are a mix of explanation and practice so students both understand the “why” and the “how” of reading, writing, and comprehension.
