About Crystal
I have been a Special Education teacher in reading and math for 8 years. I have been considered a "favorite" by almost all of the students I have encountered. There are a plethora of students and families that I still keep in contact with today. This is the most meaningful part about teaching for me. Watching students grow, become successful and wanting to share that with me later in life is an undeniable reward. It reminds me to continue impacting lives through learning, no matter the setting.

I am passionate about learning and watching my students make progress! As a teacher I am also a learner who is eager to explore new ways of thinking, solving problems and answering questions. I believe that building positive relationships with my students can lead to success. I like to create lessons based on the interest of my tutees because making personal connections to the material can ensure learning occurs. Getting to know my students before beginning instruction is crucial. As well as creating a partnership that allows voices to be heard and ideas to be respected and valued.
