About Mouziyyathu
Hi, my name is Mouziyyathu Sunaifa and I’m a qualified optometrist with a passion for education — and I’m excited to share why I’m pursuing a path in teaching. As an optometrist, I’ve developed strong communication skills, empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. These qualities are essential in both healthcare and education. My background also gives me a solid foundation in science and problem-solving, which I know will be valuable in supporting students’ learning across subjects. Teaching isn’t new to me — I’ve done it informally and formally — and now, I’m ready to take the next step and dedicate myself fully to it.

My interest in teaching began during my college years, where I had the chance to lead study groups and tutor classmates. Later, during internships, I found myself naturally stepping into a teaching role — explaining procedures, mentoring juniors, and simplifying difficult topics. Those experiences made me realize how much I enjoyed breaking down knowledge and sharing it in a way that others could understand and apply.
Now, I want to bring that same energy into the classroom, where I can help shape confident, curious, and capable learners.
