About Grace
Hi Students! I am a graduate student at Xavier University, pursuing my Master's in Business Administration at William's College of Business. I am a 2022 graduate of Wofford College where I received my Bachelor's in Business Economics with a minor in English. I have 6 years of being a writing and english tutor, and I have 2 years of working with Maths.
Every student learns different. It's my mission that every child feels confident and comfortable with the material, while learning in a way that works for them. When I was a student, I would study for hours and had the ability to recite all sorts of information, but when it came time for the test, I would fail. I thought this made me a 'bad student' or dumb, but my brain just didn't work like the other kids. This is why I turned to tutoring, because I wanted to show kids like myself that they are smart and capable.

Looking to tutor Middle School — grades 5-8.
Every student learns different. It's my mission that every child feels confident and comfortable with the material, while learning in a way that works for them. When I was a student, I would study for hours and had the ability to recite all sorts of information, but when it came time for the test, I would fail. I thought this made me a 'bad student' or dumb, but my brain just didn't work like the other kids. This is why I turned to tutoring, because I wanted to show kids like myself that they are smart and capable.
A typical lesson plan begins with a brain game, something that doesn't feel like learning. This allows the student to respond to learning as fun, rather than a chore. I would then begin with the lesson of what the student struggles with, while also integrating material that they are comfortable in that relates. This allows the student to maintain confidence throughout the lesson.
