About Jessica
I am a kind, patient, and empathetic individual that strives to create safe, inclusive spaces for all individuals to feel welcomed and supported.
I have an undergraduate degree in psychology and I am currently completing my master's in sociology. During my studies, I worked as a teaching assistant in various courses in the sociology department at my university. Through these positions and various other tutoring roles, I developed a passion for helping others. Tutoring is both a personally meaningful role and meaningful to my local community. I love working one-on-one with students to help them achieve their goals.

A typical 60-minute session will consist of a 5-10 minute warm-up, a 5-10 minutes introduction to our subject matter and plan for the session, 30-50 minutes going over material and completing assessments and a 5-minute debriefing/check-in at the end of every session to ensure we are on the right path.
While lesson plans provide a predictable structure so that you know what to expect from me, I am very flexible and care about finding what works best for you! So, my lesson plans account for individual variation in response to your needs, interests, and requirements.
After an initial meeting to discuss your individual needs and goals, I will develop a personalized lesson plan with your objectives in mind.
