About Gwen
I am a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design currently working as a freelance illustrator and designer. I have worked in several arts education spaces, including Rhode Island's own Art Annex and the Maine Media Workshops, and have held private art lessons for kids and adults for many years.
Drawing is my great passion, it permeates everything I do! So whether creating a whimsical illustration or practicing my observational skills, each line is a joy to bring to paper.

Creating art should be fun, and mastering techniques of observational drawing and painting are pillars of any aspiring artist!
Typically, we'd start with warm ups and quick exercises, before moving onto a series of timed observational drawings, empahsizing looking at form, line and constructing strong compostions.
Then we can wind down helping you work towards a personal or school project!
Lessons can be for beginners, students, kids or adults! At any experience level, I'm happy to meet you where you're at and find ways to best meet your goals and create something fun!
