About Jonny
I am an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about helping others to enjoy literature and to achieve their potential in the subject.
I have a wealth of experience inside and outside the classroom.
Since graduating from the University of Oxford I have worked as an English tutor, a musician, a carpenter and a permaculturalist.
My travels through India led me to Australia and the Northern Rivers where I now live.
I have many passions including music, yoga, gardening and martial arts. As well as, of course, literature.
I look forward to teaching you!

I have many years of teaching experience - both in the classroom and with individual private tuition.
My degree in English Literature and Language covered texts from Old English to the present day, dealing with prose, poetry and drama from each period.
I have a relaxed, patient and good humoured approach with my students.
I am experienced in helping students prepare for exams as well as helping with essay writing and coursework preparation.
I am able to teach English as a foreign language, and I also have experience teaching students with learning difficulties.
