About Tural
Hello and welcome! my name is Tural Maharramov, and I am excited to support you on your journey to mastering mathematics. I hold a Masters in Oil and Gas Engineering from University of Aberdeen, and I have several years of experience teaching students at various levels, from early secondary school to university preparation. I believe that every student can succeed in maths with the right guidance and encouragement. My teaching style focuses on building strong foundations, boosting confidence, and making complex concepts clear and accessible. I am patient, organised, and committed to creating a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes — because that’s how real learning happens! I believe I can easily deliver my knowledge to high school students as someone who had a tutor in the past from whom I learned how to teach, and how to explain problems in a simple way. I think 1 hour class for each session is enough as maths is really difficult and it can be exhausting if you have it too much. I will ask students to make notes which will contain formulae and solutions for important problems which in the future will be useful for the revision or while doing homework. Moreover, motivation is the most important thing in learning, so I will try to make the classes competitive.
