About Maya
Hi! My name is Maya. I have graduated from high school and I remember how I always struggled in classes back in middle school and elementary. No one used to understand that I process stuff a little slow sometimes, and that it's okay you don't understand something from the first time. I learned it the hard way and taught myself skills and techniques with studying and eventually got through my classes to now going onto college with lots of APs taken I never thought I would ever take in my life. I get it, I also went through it. People may not understand that working hard to understand a certain topic and actually trying to process and find new techniques and ways to understand, rather than a person who may understand things instantly, may be actually better for your brain as you develop skills and make your brain start working in ways you never thought it would. So, I'm here to help you, make it a little easier with the subjects you may be struggling with and try to find ways that actually suit you and make you understand. I'm very social and friendly and don't mind listening to you talking about life and any issues you may be going through first so you can truly focus on your tasks and get on top of your game!

- I'm very patient and love to get to become truly friends with you before anything.
-I also love listening to kids, what they're going through first, how they're feeling and truly connect and know them before starting any homework.
- I tend to teach in a way the student says the answer on their own and really show how they're capable of understanding on their own and that all they needed was just some boost of confidence.
- I love making students at the end see how skilled and capable they are at the end of every lesson, how they really did all of this on their own, not me.
- I also love building good relationships between parents and kids and truly show how their kids are actually skilled and very smart in what they're doing.
- I can teach really slow and repeat a lot of times without getting bored, and if one way didn't work, I like to try different approaches, through stories or examples that can simplify and make it easier to understand.
- Lessons are usually for elementary students to middle school. I have mostly interacted with elementary students most of the time.
