About Peyton
I'm a Harvard graduate with a degree in Social Studies and East Asian Studies and a Language Citation in Mandarin Chinese. I've spent four years as one of 90 official Harvard University tour guides, working directly with students and families navigating the college process. My academic background spans writing, research, economics, history, and political science — and I've done independent fieldwork abroad in Taiwan, Malaysia, and Vietnam. I bring patience, structure, and genuine investment in every student I work with.

Teaching method and techniques:
I find the specific gap first, then build from there. Direct explanation, worked examples, then guided practice while I watch and correct. For writing we rebuild drafts together so students develop their own judgment, not just fix one paper.
A typical lesson:
Quick check-in on what was unclear, then deep focus on one or two skills. We end with something concrete to practice. Quality over quantity every session.

Harvard graduate with four years as an official Harvard tour guide. I know what strong applications actually look like from the inside. Also fluent in Mandarin Chinese with Harvard's Language Citation and a full immersion summer in Taiwan.
Who the lessons are for:
