About Jaylenr
I graduated in the top 3 percentile of students for English/language arts comprehension and creative writing in my high school. During which I tutored 6 regulars from grades elementary-10th; all of whom raised their comprehension by 2-3 letter grades. My college courses were all APA & MLA style essay comprehension courses. I wrote 56 papers on various subjects across my college career; all following APA/MLA standard formatting. I have written most essay categories including: -informative -persuasive -argumentative -thesis -reflective -compare and contrast -narrative I peer revised, offered proofreading services and essay organization tutoring to university students. My approach to teaching is non-intimidating and believable patience and adjusting to students' needs is the key to understanding any topic. One way of teaching does NOT fit all learning styles.

My lessons are about learning the way that YOU learn. I get to know you and how you comprehend different topics so there is no room for intimidation while approaching a subject and your confidence grows as you accelerate. I mold my lesson plans individually based off of your subject needs, learner type and personal interests. -Do you learn through recall/memorization techniques? -Are you a visual or oral learner? -What topics/genres do you enjoy learning about? -Do you comprehend through games using repetition, situational inferencing and healthy competition? Whichever approach clicks for you is the one we will take and if you don’t know, we’ll figure it out together. Reading/Comprehension/Grammar lessons are for grades K-12 Literacy/Essay writing are for grades 9-Undergraduate
