My method is based on memorization and learning. It is important that the pupil understands what he is studying without necessarily having to memorize it. As for the literary and humanistic subjects, I tend to have the passage in question read and let me explain it as if I, who listen, do not know in the least what the student is talking about. In scientific subjects, on the other hand, if the student has difficulties in reasoning, I lead him to the conclusion but without ever explicitly revealing the correct answer.
