About Asher
I am genuinely passionate about philosophy. I can remember for myself how important my tutors were for my own intellectual journey, and I eager to be able to provide the same personalised tutoring to younger generations.
After studying philosophy, stayed at the University of Bristol to undertake a Master's in Law, which enabled me to begin my career in Human Rights. I feel that philosophy is an amazing starting point if one is interested in understanding the world, and the society that shapes us. In my spare time I am involved with making music and hosted a radio show in Bristol.
I still engage with philosophy everyday - reading, writing and attending lectures in London - with a view to potentially undertaking a PhD in the future. And I am eager to share my passion with philosophy students!

My approach to tutoring will always be student-oriented. I ensure that the student gets the most out of our lessons by tailoring the structure of the lesson to suit their needs. E.g. If a student's main aim is to pass an exam with a high mark; then the lesson will focus on exploring past-papers, and a deep understanding of the exam criteria will be crucial. However, if a student's main aim is to grapple with complex philosophical ideas, then I will strive to help them interrogate and understand these themes of their syllabus with a view to preparing them for undergraduate-level studies.
Lessons can run between 60 and 90 minutes. And I am capable to teach GCSE, and A-level philosophy. I have a deep standing of philosophy, taking advanced modules in the philosophy of formal logic, science, epistemology and social philosophy.
