About Maya
In about 10 months, I will be undertaking a big challenge: I’ll be attending law school. I am a student at heart and love to learn. But I have never been the greatest student off the bat. Asking for help is never a weakness. Not only have I worked with kids of all ages, but I am adaptable in meeting individual needs. Throughout my life, I have been tutored and know exactly what has worked best. Not only have I worked with kids coaching, but I have worked as a nonprofit educator for high schoolers for many years. My comfort in a tutoring setting is unparalleled.

To begin, we will sit down and chat about what your goals are and how you best can be supported. In the end, this is all about you! I will design a plan to work with your learning style, including keeping learning disabilities in mind. Each lesson will progressively get more challenging. I coached soccer for many years and take a lot of my style from there. I will be tough on you, but I will also cheer you on. I also want to give you power - maybe you pick the book we look at or we analyze a movie script. Education and fun can coexist in my lessons! I can ensure you will have a laugh and leave our sessions feeling more prepared than you were before.
