About Jaquana
I'm currently a middle school Humanities teacher. I have a Bachelors in Adolescence Education and a Masters in youth studies. I have a passion for teaching all scholars and eventually developing curriculum.
I have been a tutor for 7 years outside of regular work as a teacher. I love connecting with my clients and finding out who they are outside of being a student.I have a strong belief that the greater the understanding is between the teacher and the student, the easier the content will retain.

A typical lesson will start out with a check in. I'm all about setting and establishing the right vibe. There will always be a time for me to learn my clients outside of their needs. Following that we will go into "tunnel vision" mode where we will have guided practice and independent practice. At the end of each session I will implement next steps and feedback, that we can follow up on in our next session.
