About Jonathan
Jonathan Case is a South Wales based drummer who began playing in his early teens. Driven by a deep love of music and a genuine passion to be at his best, Jonathan always puts his whole into any situation he finds himself. After studying with Derek Bisset in high school and completing grades 1-8 with Trinity Guildhall, attained a level foundation and his passion for the instrument grew and grew.
His musical journey however, started to take shape whilst studying music in Crosskeys College from the years of 2011 - 2013. Here he gained an understanding of many different aspects such as live musicianship right through to musical theory. Surrounded by like minded musicians he found himself at home almost instantly. After finishing college he then attended The Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in Guildford. Here he studied under many great musicians such as:
Pete Riley, Toby Drummond, Frank Tontoh & Richard Brook. Here he gained a vital understating of many advanced techniques behind his instrument, broadened his musical awareness and attained vital knowledge for music as a whole.
After moving back to South Wales, Jonathan has found himself busy with many different covers bands performing several times a week in various holiday parks and clubs around the country. Not only a performer Jonathan also prides himself in 1-1 tuition, aiming to inspire and educate future drummers.

Jonathan uses knowledge gained from years of tutoring. Lessons are confidently delivered to both beginners & adults.
Lessons are structured and planned for each individual student based on their level, ambitions & goals. May it be grade exams, in which both RSL and Trinity are used, or simply wanting to learn a favourite song.
Jonathan makes his lessons as instructive as possible while also making them positively enjoyable for each and every student.
All of Jonathan's private lessons take place at his home, online via video call or at a students home.
Jonathan has an enhanced DBS check that is on the update service. Available to view on request.
