About Amelia
I received my Guitar Arts degree from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia with additional training in working with beginners who feel discouraged. My 5 years of experience focus on helping people who think they "can't" learn guitar discover that they absolutely can with the right patience and encouragement.

Think your hands aren't right for guitar? That's what most beginners think! My lessons are designed for people whose fingers feel clumsy and who think guitar is too hard. If you can't make clear chords, we'll practice finger positioning very slowly until it feels natural. If your fingers hurt, we'll take breaks and do gentle exercises to build strength gradually. If you feel frustrated, we'll focus on something you're doing well and celebrate small victories. If you think everyone else learns faster, remember that everyone progresses at their own pace and there's absolutely no rush. I'll help you play simple songs right away so you feel successful from the beginning!
