About Anja
A bit about me: I am a professional musician and educator. My main instrument is the guitar. Additionally, I sing and play piano, ukulele, and bass. I have performed professionally in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Los Angeles, California, and the Central Pennsylvania region since I was 19.

I am an avid performer and educator currently splitting my time between coasts. Teaching is immensely important to me. I hold a bachelor's degree in music from Bucknell University (Lewisburg, PA) and a preK-12 certificate in music education from Duquesne University (Pittsburgh, PA). In addition to years of study on my primary instruments, I have studied different methodologies and pedagogical approaches to music education. These include but are not limited to the Kodály Method, the Orff-Schulwerk approach, Dalcroze Eurhythmics, and Gordon Music Learning Theory. Using a blend of these methodologies, I strive to foster student-centered learning. Thus, I provide a unique and personalized experience for each individual based on their needs, strengths, and goals.

Anja is superb performer--I have heard her play lead guitar in various venues, including concert halls, galleries, and cafes. She also can sing! Such a pretty crystalline voice.
