About Rob

Hello! I’m Rob and I’ve been playing guitar for… a long time. Several years ago I was fortunate enough to play guitar in a band that signed for a label, played all over the UK, at festivals and received regular airplay on the BBC as well as the honour of playing a live session for Steve Lamacq of BBC 6 Music.

Lots of intense guitar playing and creating of music.

I have taught guitar for 10 years and very much enjoy taking students from zero to guitar hero.

My approach is less rigid than some and I will be flexible to your own personal aim - we all do things for different reasons and have different motivations.

About the lesson

No grades, just guitar tablature, chords, lead guitar and the transfer of years of skill and passion for the guitar… to you.

My approach is to make learning the guitar as interesting and enjoyable as possible - no one learns when they’re bored!

Fretwork, notes and chords
Strumming and picking techniques
Rhythm sense
Song learning (you choose the songs)

Rob was a very motivating guitar teacher and clearly has a passion for guitar. I could barely play when I started and can now call myself a guitar player!
